 | XOXOXO has a developed, distinct sound; the product of Blondie mating with the Cars. Brothers Ben and Matt produce some excellent electropop on this debut ep. from the opening arpeggiating synth on 'dance it off' comes rachel's voice, strong and alluring. The standout cut, 'fornicate' features a synthy melody with lasting qualities. 'The Structure of Power' grows from soft, melancholly beginnings to a rockin' interlude. 'Clear Glass Eyes' and 'Want Me' are good examples of thoughtful electroclash. 'Consumer Culture' ends the cd with an observation on our social structure.
